AT MY SCHOOL | After School Arts Program
Launched in Fall 2024 as North County Children’s Choir | At My School, this after-school arts initiative began with 35 students at Laurel Elementary and quickly grew to serve over 160 students across four OUSD Title 1 campuses by Spring 2025. With the support of a $5,000 Oceanside Arts & Culture Grant, the program provided free, on-campus choir instruction led by professional teaching artists. Students performed at their schools and throughout the community, building confidence, creativity, and connection.
Now titled the AT MY SCHOOL | After School Arts Program, this initiative is working to expand courses including rhythm, visual art, musical theatre, movement, and music fundamentals. Our goal is to reach up to 600 students in at least 8 schools by Spring 2026, beginning with continued partnerships in Oceanside and aiming to grow throughout North County. By meeting students where they are — at their school — we’re removing barriers and delivering the life-changing power of the arts where it’s needed most.
